Unreleased Goa Records is very proud to shed lights on Random, a mysterious project from Montreal, Canada, and his oustanding Goa Trance album "Psychoactive". Jimmy Clark started making electronic music in 1990, touching almost every style of the genre before settling down on electronic psychedelia. Music became his main occupation and work between 1994 and 1999. He built his own studio and "locked" himself in, spending numerous days and nights producing and experimenting. Heavily influenced by the energetic style of Astral Projection, MFG, and Green Nuns Of The Revolution, he shaped his distinct style, a multiverse of psychedelic sonic landscapes, where he explored the deepest layers of the human mind. Several amazing tracks with pure uplifting melodies and pumping climaxes were born during this process.

In 1996, Jimmy’s explosive dance-floor grooves caught the attention of local radio stations and rave party organizers and he was asked to make regular appearances with airplays and live gigs. However, none of his Goa Trance tracks were released and since today they remained in the state of Demos and DATs. Only three of them landed on the now-defunct MP3.com platform for a very short period of time in 1999, as he suddenly felt that the genre lost its glitter and stopped producing it. At the turn of the millennium, Jimmy transitioned to darker sounds with a more electro-industrial feel under the project name "Ill Logic".

"Psychoactive" is the title of a Demo CD that Jimmy attempted to commercialize in the summer of 1999, a project that never materialized. All tracks were produced in the 1990’s with the following gear:

The album contains some fast, hard-hitting Goa stormers that get the crowd going, kicking and screaming, along with slower and darker psychedelic trance pieces. More unpublished material by Random is expected by Unreleased Goa Records in the future.
