Unreleased Goa Records is honoured to welcome back the US-based legend of the Israeli scene, Quadra, with his outstanding Goa Trance album "Cyber Dreams". Ido Liran needs no introduction. He started making music in 1995 and producing Goa Trance the year after. He discovered the genre when he received two CDs in high school from a friend who visited Israel in the summer : the "Yellow" compilation of TIP Records and "Trust In Trance". These two albums that were hard to find in Los Angeles at the time were both inspirational and instrumental in his decision to make this music. His early intention as an artist was to craft a unique style of Goa Trance that is very melodic, dance-oriented, and energetic.

His first tracks were produced with a QuadraSynth. When he was booked to play at parties and asked how he wanted to be called on the flyer, Ido used the first half of this instrument as the name of his project: Quadra. At some point he also added a Juno-106 and a JD-990 synthesizer, as well as Mackie 1604-VLZ mixer to his equipment. Before using Cubase, he started out producing music on a DOS sequencer which had no graphic interface and undertook the challenging task to put in values for each note.

The present album gathers nine previously unreleased Goa tracks from 1996 and 1998, in addition to a rare track released only on a vinyl by BooM! Records in 2000. Ido chose to call it "Cyber Dreams". The title implies of how we dreamed technology would help us in the future and solve all of our problems which would lead to a world of peace. Instead, as time has progressed, we have realized that technology has only made things more complicated, pushed people against each other, and driven people to become more isolated and less social while destroying the planet. Ido tried to convey this message throughout his musical career and continuous involvment in the Psychedelic Trance scene.

These ten tracks were played quite often in Los Angeles, mostly at outdoor parties in the desert, mountains, and other beautiful locations. The spiritual aspect that emerged from the Goa scene, the alien- and blacklight-themed decorations, the meetings with people were at the core of Ido’s excitement to produce and to play new music event after event. More unpublished Quadra material is expected from Unreleased Goa Records in the future.

This is fucking good stuff bro. I just like how it's so filled, varied, playfull and alive, but not too busy like much newer oldskool trance can be. The sounds are just good, the vibes are epic. I'm pretty much in love with this. Have been dancing in the living room and will do so more and more for many days to come.
