Unreleased Goa Records is honored to pay tribute to the legendary Hungarian act Quantum State with the smashing retro psytrance album "Tracks From The Void". Cosmology and astrophysics aficionados Iván Münnich and Péter Galló started Quantum State in 1998, exactly the time when the theories of quantum physics were in the public eye. They borrowed their project's name from a mathematical entity that provides a probability distribution for the outcomes of each possible measurement on a system. This became a familiar concept to them and a continuous source of inspiration. Quantum State's music transcends the boundaries between full-on and acid trance, pumping grooves with a somewhat dark vibe and sometimes spiced up with trance melodies on oriental scales. At the core of this project are mixed influences by goa pioneers (Hallucinogen, Asia 2001, Astral Projection, Man With No Name, Green Nuns Of The Revolution, Etnica, S.U.N. Project) as well as famous acts that paved the way for modern full-on (Neuromotor, GMS, Talamasca, Wizzy Noise). Metal, hardcore and techno elements are also detected in Quantum State's distinct sound.

"Tracks From The Void" features the Hungarian duo's favorite tracks – they were all somewhere out there, floating in the universe, waiting to return to Earth. The first five were produced between 2005 and 2008; the remaining four were part of "Cycocinema", an early album self-released in 2001, only available to party goers, that contained some previously unpublished titles. All tracks were produced with Waldorf Microwave Xtk, Waldorf Pulse, Ensoniq ASRX Pro, and varying software. The duo used to carry their whole studio on stage for their live performances. Having signed a contract with Boom! Records, they shared the same stage with big names of the scene such as Astral Projection, Infected Mushroom, Neuromotor or S.U.N. Project in European cities such as Amsterdam, Vienna, and Prague.

Quantum State's final live performance was an amazing event with Transwave in 2008. Peter continued working on his trip hop project for about a year and then stopped making music altogether. He eventually returned in early 2017 under the moniker "Untrue Sounds", with some deep, tech, classic and funky house music.
