Unreleased Goa Records is very proud to publish another fabulous Goa Trance EP, "Untitled Star" by Swedish project X-Telligence, also known under the more established guise PsyTrix. Born in Borås in 1975, Mattias Jarestad started his musical journey as a guitarist at the age of 16 and played for various hard rock and death metal bands. In the early 90’s, he switched his focus to electronic music and started to produce Goa Trance in 1994 using at first Propellerheads ReBirth, and then some more advanced sequencing in Cubase with VST plugins and instruments. When Reason came out, Mattias became a beta tester for Propellerheads and a skilled programmer.

After his successful album "Nova", released in April 2020, Mattias collaborates again with Unreleased Goa Records to publish this time his first Goa Trance productions under his "X-Telligence" alias. Reminiscent of the pioneering work of Astral Projection and MFG, these tracks explore the unknown realms of space with hard, fast and melodic Goa Trance and Downtempo music, sometimes combining both. The original version and voxless remix of "Untitled Star" were previously featured on the online "Freedom Theory 505 - Explosion" double compilation released by New York-based label Noision Records in 2000, for the purpose of raising money for Amnesty International.

All tracks gathered in this EP were produced with Roland MC-505, Evolution MK-149 midi keyboard, ReBirth 2.01, SoundBlaster awe32, Pentium II 300. Some of them were available, only in low quality, on the legendary MP3.com platform. They are all now released, for the first time, in full audio quality. The only exception is the original version of "Untitled Star", which did not survive as a true WAV file and was enhanced with the aid of modern technology. Two bonus tracks of a more psychedelic tone from Mattias’ later project PsyTrix are offered with this EP.
